JUNE HOLIDAY WRITING BOOSTER CLASSes
This June Holidays' CurioBox Writing Series will zoom in onto specific skills required by the children at the various levels.
PRIMARY THREE - 'Getting Started'
- A 2-day programme aimed at easing a child’s transition from the Primary 2 (3 Picture + ?) composition format to the 3-Picture (unrelated) upper primary format.
- The children will be taught how to unpack a question, choose the most appropriate pictures and how to plan and organise their stories.
- 1 parent is invited to sit in Part 1 of the lesson (30-40 min) so as to familiarise themselves with the new format and better understand the task their child is facing and also pick up tips on how to help them.
- The children will also be introduced to some useful words and phrases and learn how to use them in their writing.

PRIMARY FOUR - 'Making an Impression'
- A 1-day programme which builds on the children's prior knowledge on and experience in composition writing.
- The children will be sensitised to using their senses to make their stories come alive and become more relatable to the reader.
- In the process, the children will be introduced to various words and phrases and learn how to use them in their writing.

PRIMARY FIVE & SIX - 'Adding Spices'
- A 1-day programme which builds on the children's prior knowledge on and experience in composition writing
- The children will be introduced to three advanced strategies to impress, entertain and captivate their readers
- In the process, the children will be introduced to various words and phrases and learn how to use them in their writing.
- This programme is suitable for the confident writer who enjoys writing and is keen to attempt new strategies.
